This book chronicles the life, travels, and ministerial labors of a baptist minister in the early 1800’s. Wilson Thompson spent most of ministry among churches in Ohio, but made trips to preach in Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, and Tennessee. Brother Thompson records both his spiritual experiences and recounts occurrences he witnessed in the various churches. The stories he relates provide a cultural backdrop for the baptist churches of his era that may surprise many modern readers.
