Prayer

Prayer is the most powerful tool that a church possesses.  There is a good deal of information about prayer that is found in the Bible.  There are instructions on how to pray, where to pray, when to pray, what to ask, and why we should pray.  These instructions are reinforced with several Bible illustrations of different people praying.  The results are miraculous, almost unbelievable.  At the tomb of Lazarus, Jesus Christ said, “Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.”  This prayer was followed by Jesus demonstrating His ability to command life into a dead body by the power of His voice.  Miraculous!  Unbelievable!

Even today, church people routinely ask the Almighty God to intervene and work a miraculous blessing in the life of friends, family, neighbors, schoolmates, and complete strangers. The results? Unbelievable.

Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
